A constant-current LED driver, such as the published JUDCTDN-6-23W phase-cut CCT driver, regulates current for a matching LED load. A constant-voltage LED strip dimmer controls 12 V or 24 V LED tape and usually needs an appropriate external power supply / SMPS. JUDCTDN-6-23W is not a strip dimmer. What is a phase cut dimmer?
A phase-cut dimmer alters part of the AC waveform to control compatible lighting loads using leading-edge or trailing-edge topology.
